CBOX Redefines Emergency Housing with 11,000-Unit Guangzhou Health Station
The Guangzhou International Health Station stands as a testament to China's innovative approach to emergency medical infrastructure. Developed by industry leader CBOX, this 250,000 m² facility demonstrates how container architecture can evolve from temporary shelters to permanent healthcare solutions.
1. Project Overview
Key Specifications
Project time: 2021
Location: South of Guangcong Highway Section 105, Zhongluotan, Baiyun District, Guangzhou
Site Area: 257,800 m²
Total Floor Area: 250,000 m²
Capacity: 5,074 rooms (5,000 medical beds + 2,000 staff beds)
Containers Used: 11,000 modular container units
Functional Zones
Residential area for incoming personnel (Area A, Area B): Mainly used for accommodation of isolated incoming personnel.
Health Service Center (Area C): Covering an area of 2,500 square meters, it is built according to the standards of a fever clinic. The center is operated and managed by the Municipal Red Cross Hospital (Municipal Emergency Hospital), providing health monitoring, nucleic acid testing, basic medical care and emergency first aid services. Once the nucleic acid test of the resident is positive, he/she will be immediately transferred to the Municipal No. 8 Hospital for centralized isolation and treatment.
Medical and logistics living area (Area D): Provide accommodation and living security for medical and logistics service personnel, implement closed management, two points and one line, regular rotation, and strictly implement the closed-loop management requirements of the whole process of personnel.
Comprehensive service building (Area E): Provide comprehensive service support.
Supporting facilities: The supporting facilities in the station are complete, including security, fire protection, dining kitchen, laundry, vehicle washing and disinfection, temporary waste storage, etc., to ensure the normal operation of various services during the isolation period.
